The Third Hong Kong Mineral Fair
Meet the Mineral Collectors
A meeting place for buyers, sellers, enthusiasts and newcomers to the world of minerals and fossils, featuring mineral specimens, books, equipment, fossils, rough and polished stones, some for sale and some just to look at. Above all, this is an opportunity to meet others who share our fascinating hobby.

Venue : BGCA Auditorium, 3 Lockhart Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong.
conveniently close to the Wanchai MTR station, exit C.

Information

Table size is 6 ft x 3 ft
The charge in Hong Kong dollars is HK$700 per table.
The venue has overhead fluorescent lighting for general purposes, and additional power outlets will be available at a surcharge of HK$50 for exhibitors who wish to bring their own table lights.

Advice for Exhibitors

If you are an experienced exhibitor then you will know what works for you. If you are new to exhibiting we offer the following advice.

•    Label all your specimens with the name of the mineral and the locality, if known.
•    Put a price on all your specimens, even if you are willing for purchasers to negotiate.
•    Have minerals in different price brackets, some cheap ones for children who are starting a collection and some collector’s pieces for the connoisseur.
•    If you are selling equipment or books, have some large mineral or fossil specimens to make your display more eye-catching.
•    Have some packing material available for the specimens which you sell.

We ask that any minerals which have been dyed or otherwise artificially treated are clearly labeled to that effect.

MTR

From Wan Chai station take exit C and walk west along Lockhart Road. The venue is on the right almost at the end of the road.
From Admiralty Station take exit D. Walk across Harcourt Garden to Hennessy Road, turn left down Arsenal Street then right onto Lockhart Road. The venue is on your left.

Tram

Get off the tram at the junction of Hennessy Road and Johnston Road, walk north down Arsenal Street then turn right onto Lockhart Road. The venue is on your left.

Bus

Bus numbers 2, 104, 720A and M722 travel east along Hennessy Road then turn north on Fenwick Street and west along Lockhart Road, past the venue.
