HK Geology in pictures

In this talk, Prof. Wong will give us a pictorial introduction to Hong Kong Geology. It is not an academic presentation but rather a talk to give an additional angle for laymen to appreciate the beauty and variation of our natural landscape. It should be useful for hikers to understand how the different types of landform are being created.The content will include a brief geological history of HK, the basic rock formation cycle, HK rocks and related landforms ( for sedimentary, volcanic, plutonic and metamorphic rocks ), HK’s mineral and HK’s geological hazards (landslides). Prof. Wong always gives us interesting talks with good content and funny facts. Please don’t miss this activity.
