Field Excursion: Castle Peak Molybdenite & Quartz

Place: Tuen Mun

Time: 11:00AM – 4:00PM

Leader: Chris Chui Chun Hin

Gathering point: Close to Leung King Plaza, Leung King Light Rail Station, Tuen Mun
Dismissal point: Trail entrance to the hike, at the back of Leung King Estate, Tuen Mun

Proposed schedule:
11:00 Gather at Leung King Light Rail Station
11:15 Walk to the trail entrance
11:30 Hike up (quite steep but paved till Leung Tin Au)
12:00 Look for molybdenite specimens
1:30 Lunch
2:30 Go to another location to look for quartz crystals
3:15 Activity finishes and walk back to Leung King Estate
4:00 Dismissed at the trail entrance
