The Geology and Culture of Papua New Guinea

Michael has recently returned from an assignment in Papua New Guinea and we are pleased to have him back attending meetings and activities. Michael will speak about this interesting part of our world which has produced some stunning crystals of gold. These gold specimens mostly originated from the Mt. Kare gold rush of Papua New Guinea in the late 1980’s.
Michael is a qualified and practicing geologist and a keen mineral photographer. The talk will be in English.
